1 Day Mobile Access Towers for Experienced candidates

Mobile Access Tower, LUGS and SLG group bookings are available at our Training Centre in Ashbourne.
All other Solas CSCS/QSCS are available only as group bookings at the customer’s own premises.

Group Bookings
We can provide group training for Mobile Access Tower, LUGS and SLG at our training centres. For all other categories the customer must provide the machinery, premises and materials required for the assessment and training. Minimum numbers are required. Further details of requirements are available from our training centre staff.

Training for Individuals
Solas CSCS/QSCS assessments are only available as group bookings. We do not provide public Solas CSCS/QSCS for individuals at our own premises.

Location
Mobile Access Tower, LUGS and SLG are available at our Training Centre in Dublin (Ashbourne). All other Solas CSCS/QCSCS are available as group bookings only at the customer’s own premises. Solas CSCS/QSCS Training and Assessment courses are available on-site on your premises anywhere in the Republic of Ireland subject to minimum numbers. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and machines / materials are needed for the practical. The Certificate of Thorough Examination for the machine must be in date where required. Further details of requirements are available from our training centre staff.

Certification
On successful completion of the Solas CSCS/QSCS Assessment you will be issued with a FETAC Certificate and Solas CSCS Operator Card for the category assessed. Learners who complete the 3 day machinery Training Programme are required to get 6 months experience and then carry out the 1 day Assessment to obtain their Solas CSCS/QSCS card.

Course Description
The Programme will consist of a combination of a classroom session of underpinning knowledge relating to the category, and practical operations of the category. A theory assessment and practical assessment will be carried out to ensure candidates have reached the required standard.

Trainee Requirements
Candidates must be over 18 and may attend the Machinery Assessment by a choice of 2 routes:

Candidates who have no experience of operating the category of machine must complete the 3 day New Entrant course before attending the FAS CSCS Assessment (listed on our Course List).

Operators who are experienced in the category of plant who have not attended the 3 day New Entrant programme may present for the CSCS / QSCS Assessment subject to filling out the required Self Assessment / Declaration paperwork and satisfying the relevant criteria. Please contact our office for further information.

All candidates must hold a current FAS Safe Pass Registration Card.

PPE Requirements
Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Viz Vest.

This Solas CSCS / QSCS training is suitable for anyone who wishes to achieve the Solas CSCS or QSCS card (ticket) which is required for machine / equipment operators on construction sites and quarries.

Course Objectives
To assess delegates on the knowledge and skills needed to operate construction and quarry machinery / equipment safely.
