Excavator 180 Assessment Duration
1 Day FAS CSCS 180 Excavator Assessment (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm).

Location
This 1 day 180 Excavator assessment course is available on-site on your premises anywhere in the Republic of Ireland subject to minimum numbers. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and machines are needed for the practical assessment. The Certificate of Thorough Examination for the machine must be in date where required.

180 Excavator Course Description
The Programme will consist of a combination of a classroom session of underpinning knowledge relating to 180 Excavator operations, and practical operation of the 180 Excavator.

• Introduction to the 180 Excavator Operator’s Manual
• 180 Excavator pre-use checks
• 180 Excavator safety awareness
• Safety controls and stabilisers
• Prepare the machine for movement
• Travel the 180 Excavator
• Set up for operation and operate 180 Excavator controls
• Excavate and backfill operations
• Park and secure the 180 Excavator
• Theory test
• Practical test

Trainee Requirements
Candidates must be over 18 and may attend the 180 Excavator Assessment by a choice of 2 routes:

Candidates who have no experience of operating 180 Excavators must complete the 3 day New Entrant 180 Excavator course before attending the FAS CSCS Assessment (listed on our Course List).

Experienced 180 Excavator Operators who have not attended the 3 day New Entrant programme may present for the 180 Excavator Assessment subject to filling out the required Self Assessment / Declaration paperwok and satisfying the relevant criteria. Please contact our office for further information.

All candidates must hold a current FAS Safe Pass Registration Card.
PPE Requirements
Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them (i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Viz Vest).

This FAS CSCS 180 Excavator Assessment is suitable for anyone who wishes to achieve the CSCS 180 Excavator card (ticket) which is required for 180 Excavator drivers on construction sites.

180 Excavator Certification
On successful completion of this FAS CSCS 180 Excavator Assessment you will be issued with a FETAC Certificate and FAS CSCS Operator Card for 180 Excavators.
